Medicines, devices, platforms, modalities and services are being developed along the care continuum to create or maintain health and they are rarely all developed by the same manufacturer. The more integration occurs, the more manufacturers are challenged in helping people understand how everything works together in service of health while preserving their own identities. In order for audiences to derive maximum value from each offering, manufacturers need to coordinate their efforts, synchronizing development and communications with agencies. A recognized and dynamic marketing leader, Debra Bass brings more than 20 years of brand management and business leadership experience, building global brands and creating collaborative environments. As the President, Global Baby Franchise, Johnson & Johnson, Debra is responsible for leading the long-term strategy, innovation pipeline and reframing the baby care category through mom insights and content creation for the global iconic brand. Previously, Debra was VP of Global Marketing for the DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson. She built the DePuy Synthes masterbrand and created a new Marketing Center of Excellence with a focus on brand strategy, integrated marketing communications, and digital marketing. Debra has a broad base of marketing experience gained through diverse industry, company, and brand experiences in health care and consumer packaged goods. She began her career at Procter & Gamble. She is a key leader for Johnson & Johnson’s Global Women’s Leadership Steering Committee and represents the company on the HBA Metro-Chapter Advisory Board. Debra holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.
